Licensed Massage Therapist – Portland OR

Hi there! Thanks so much for taking the time to read about me, I look forward to working with you.

I have been practicing massage since 2003 in Portland. I received my license at the Oregon School of Massage, focusing on deep tissue, trigger point, pregnancy massage, and people living with cancer.

I have years of hands-on working closely with Chiropractors and insurance billing as well as the opportunity working in a spa environment.

I have years of experience with working closely with chiropractors and their referrals, athletes of all levels, moms-to-be as well as well those suffering from chronic pain.

I am able and willing to bill insurance for MVA with a referral as well as BCBS of Oregon.

About Allison Mott L.M.T.

I am originally from Rockford Illinois. I have been living in Portland since 1998. Before landing in the Northwest, I received my B.A from the University of Montana. After college I moved to San Francisco where I received my certificate to teach English as a Second Language. From there I did some traveling overseas. I enjoy playing tennis, running, skiing and basically anything that ends in –ing! Along with doing massage, I also do part-time home health work with hospice patients. I get a great sense of honor and humility in this type of work. I feel that my massage back ground has helped both me and my patients a great deal.

Tension Relief–See Allison

by MelissaF at Citysearch

The pinched nerve in my neck had gotten so debilitating that I required a pillow to hold my head up and to top it off there was this vibrating feeling all the way down to my fingertips. It had gotten pretty pathetic, and I stunk like Ben-gay!

What a pleasant miracle it was to get a massage from Allison, from the beginning she asked me a thorough set of questions that made me feel confident in her expertise and she then quickly went to work using the perfect amount of pressure on my aching back. Slowly but surely, the rock that had developed in the crook of my neck soon loosened and my body began to return to normal. She then turned me onto my back and did the most relaxing and therapeutic upper back massage. I left feeling completely rejuvenated; tension gone, and the most painful tingling sensation had completely vanished. I am so extremely grateful for her knowledgeable and soothing massage. I plan to tell everyone I know how amazing she is!

Pros: Truely amazing magic fingers
Cons: I wish I could get a massage every day

Allison is the best!

I’ve had pregnancy massages in the past at other places for my last two pregnancies and this one topped it. She was very professional yet layed back, asked a lot of questions regarding my state, and made me feel really comfortable. She knew her stuff and it proved in the greatest massage ever. She uses pillows instead of the table w/the hole in it and this was MUCH more comfortable. The location is great, just kiddy corner to starbucks and other cute little shops in Sellwood. The parking is limited and getting out can be daunting at times (have to back out into main traffic), but there is off street parking along the roads and the experience is well worth it. Even after my pregnancy I still enjoy going there. highly recommended.

Pros: The best massage

I was really impressed by the communication that the therapist had with me before and during the massage. She checked in with my comfort and with the pressure. I actually felt like I had body work done to me. If people out there are sick of whimpy massages and are paying high prices for it I suggest Cypress.
